He has established himself as a trusted and straightforward advocate of helping others and has an extensive background with nonprofit organizations. He has been a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania.

Matt, in addition to his work with the UPH Foundation, is actively involved in nonprofit organizations within the surrounding communities of where he lives in upstate New York. He has spent the last several years helping others and doing what he can to improve the overall quality of life for everyone.

Biography

For the past 18 years, Barb has been committed to providing support for Dayton Children’s Hospital through her involvement with other nonprofits in the Ohio area. She is dedicated to the UPH Foundation and strongly believes in their mission.  She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and now resides in Dayton, Ohio.

Biography

Mr. LaFata is currently teaching Communications Classes at Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy. He is in his 14th year as an educator. He currently holds PA certificates in: Communications, Language Arts 7-12 and Administration K-12 lvl II. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University in Detroit MI earning a B.S. in Education with a double major: History and English. He continued his post graduate studies at Lynn University in Boca Raton FL earning a M.Ed. in Education. He currently lives in Millcreek with his wife and daughter, and enjoys spending his free time with his family, hunting, fishing and traveling.

As the UPH Foundation’s Fundraising Coordinator, Renelda brings her experience and passion for developing and creating campaigns for cause-related issues. She understands how to meet both the client and organization’s need, and is dedicated to raising visibility and awareness to the Foundation.

Biography

Jack Owen, a Founding Member of Owen & Conley, LLC is a tax lawyer with extensive expertise representing a broad range of clients, including tax-exempt charities, businesses and individuals in tax, business law, nonprofit, and estates – trusts matters.

The Executive Service Corps of Western Pennsylvania named Mr. Owen the “Outstanding Volunteer Attorney for 2004” for pro bono legal services.  He also received the “Allied Professional of the Year” award in 2005 from the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council.

Based on an evaluation process of his peers, Jack is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.

Sean is a developer and system administrator at Savvior, where he oversees and codes projects from start to finish, from conception to deployment and maintenance.

Sean has had a lifelong passion for technology, and enjoys taking on new projects and challenges.

Outside of the office, Sean is an avid fisherman and trap shooter, but always has a computer nearby for those unplanned outages.
